Cut-Up, 2005
Cut-Up was a collaborative project with A.P. Vague. We used an, even for the time, outdated optical minilab to enlarge cut-up postcards, creating greatly enlarged images that lost a significant amount of information in the process.
During a time of transition from film to digital photography, we found parallels between our project and the process of digitizing token mementos, like postcards, often used for documenting short messages and experiences.
